"Within the framework of the Customer Services policy, the Field Service Representative represents Airbus on site at the airline facility or remotely. Providing on-site technical assistance in support of safe and economical operations. The person can advise on Operational Reliability and Safety Enhancement opportunities whilst leveraging on his knowledge and integration within the Airbus Engineering, Maintenance, Flight Operations, Flight Safety, Training and Spares network.
The role should ensure efficient communication between the airline and Airbus organization, adapting to specific airline business models and culture with the aim of developing a trustworthy relationship with the Customer.
Field Service Representatives primary responsibilities:
Support solutions for Airbus aircraft technical issues with the objective of influencing timely solutions to technical related matters being experienced by the Airline.
Depending on the contractual arrangement the Field Service Representative may support the Airline through the use of Airbus IT tools such Skywise Health Monitoring / Skywise Predictive Maintenance on specific issues.
Provide technical advice and transfer know-how to the Line Maintenance and Maintenance Control Center departments at Entry Into Service of a new A/C type within a customer.
Interface and communicate with all departments at Airbus and the airline taking into account the evolving organizations and informing the Airline as required.
Provide proactive support to the airline technical operation, including Flight Operations, Training and Spares e.g. Operational Reliability review, identify issues and propose solutions where available.
Support timely escalation/facilitation/influence internally priority ‘tech requests’ including follow up on any associated Retrofit Information Letters /Repair & Design Approval Form needs.
Influence airlines to embody Operations Engineering Bulletins (in particular RED OEB) in order to enhance fleet safety whilst informing the Airline on any Safety Enhancement initiatives..
Fulfill an active part of the Safety Management System network (safety first) and foster a collaborative exchange with the Airline focal points.
The Field Service Representative should demonstrate engagement and proactive support in the performance of the role.
Advise on Airbus Products and services that may add value to the Airline operations.
Support the business relationship with the Airline and Airbus."
