Job Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
- Perform installation, preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment modification on our scientific instruments and equipment at Customer appointed sites.
- Provide onsite technical support and training to customers, ensuring they can operate equipment successfully.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime for our customers be it via phone calls, emails or onsite.
- Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service promptly.
- Collaborate with our product teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate, timely and closure of service records and reports in compliance with company standards.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining of company issued tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
- Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales.
- Able to work in Biosafety Laboratory, Clean Room environment, Oil and Gas industries, Hospitals with possible of wearing full clean room suit and PPE.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Diploma or ITE-Nitec/Higher Nitec/Technical Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronics.
- Proven experience in field service or a similar technical support role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial and pressurized environment.
- Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to determine effective solutions quickly.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and multi-task activities with shifting priorities
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Flexibility to travel within the region as required for training or services.
- A valid driver's license with personal transportation preferred.
