We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer – Chromatography LC/GC in The Netherlands to join the Benelux region Customer Support Organization. You will deliver on site installation, maintenance, application, software, and compliance services, as well as customer training, focused on Liquid and Gas Chromatography solutions.

As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software, and workflows is key. Applying your interpersonal skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest levels of customer service is how you will build customer success. 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Install and optimize Chromatography hardware/software/network products and configurations as well as implements analytical method workflow solutions at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolves product and application method performance problems.
  • Performs maintenance, compliance verification and hardware & software customer training delivery.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
  • Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during and after service.
  • Collaborate with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers.
  • May deliver internal technical trainings, seminars and workshops for field engineers.

The role is primarily visiting customer sites in The Netherlands on daily basis and occasionally Belgium and Luxemburg as well. Following an initial onboarding period to become familiar with our processes and a progressive training phase to develop the necessary technical, software and workflow skills.

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar).
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position or experience as an end user.
  • Knowledge of Liquid and/or Gas Chromatography instrumentation, application, installation, calibration, and validation experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Instrument Software such as OpenLab, ChemStation, MassHunter, or similar is a plus.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Experience with the Agilent solutions is desired but not essential.
  • You enjoy traveling and visiting customers.
  • You will need to be proactive and self-driven, as well as having curiosity and willingness to learn new products/ services.
  • Strong soft skills capabilities for this customer facing role are mandatory.
  • Full proficient of Dutch language and high level of English.
  • Valid driver's license

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
