Elekta is seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our advanced medical technology within a defined territory. This is a home‑based field role requiring regular travel to customer sites, working independently while delivering exceptional technical service and customer care.
You will work with complex, high‑technology systems used in critical healthcare environments, playing a vital role in ensuring reliability, safety, and performance for our customers.
Perform planned preventive maintenance and emergency corrective maintenance on Elekta systems
Diagnose and repair complex electronic and electromechanical systems down to board and component level
Carry out system upgrades, installations, and commissioning
Provide on‑site, remote, and telephone technical support
Complete service activities ranging from single‑day visits to multi‑day assignments
Maintain ownership of technical issues through to full customer resolution
Accurately complete service reports and documentation in line with quality systems
Act as a professional ambassador for Elekta with customers and partners
Degree, technical college qualification, or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline
Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanics, IT systems, and networking
Proven ability to fault‑find and repair at board level and below
Experience working independently in a field‑based or customer‑facing role
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English)
Strong customer focus with a professional, solutions‑driven mindset
Full, valid driving licence
Experience in a medical device service environment
Previous exposure to linear accelerators
Completion of advanced technical or 3rd‑line support training
Highly motivated, organised, and self‑directed
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Comfortable working under pressure in critical clinical environments
