This exciting role focuses on developing the Border stores and Cruise channel with the Europe region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Border store strategy and the growth of the channel within the Global Travel Retail (GTR) Europe region. Additionally, this person will contribute to the development of the cruise channel strategy by establishing a clear understanding of the channel, customer routes and on-trade strategy in Europe.
Meaningful Work from Day One:
The role is dedicated to the strategic expansion and optimization of specific distribution channels within the Global Travel Retail (GTR) market, specifically focusing on the Border stores and actively exploring significant growth opportunities within the expanding cruise channel across the entire Europe region.
Success in this position requires exceptional collaboration and an analytical mindset to identify relevant opportunities for growth. The individual will be expected to create strong relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders across various GTR teams, encompassing various cross-functional teams, as well as with customers, including duty-free operators, wholesalers, and cruise line executives.
The individual will work closely with colleagues from other GTR teams globally to share best practices, leverage insights, and collectively optimize overarching GTR strategies. This collaborative approach aims to identify and capitalize on synergies that drive market growth, enhance brand presence, and ultimately contribute to the financial success of the organization.
What You Can Expect: You will,
Strongly contribute to the growth of both Borderstores and cruise channels in the EMEAI region.
Achieve excellent partnership with operators through meaningful relationships.
Ensure the distribution of our portfolio increases in the named channels, focusing on the improvement of our Super Premium portfolio and emerging brands.
Analyze market dynamics and competition for strategic business recommendations.
This is a commercial role and as such we expect the understanding and management of the P&L
What You Bring to the Table:
Preferably, a minimum of 5 years of experience in Global Travel Retail.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Commercial skills, negotiation capabilities, analytical abilities and a solution-oriented approach.
High level of oral and written communication skills.
The travel expectation is approximately 25% of the time
Teamwork: Ability to demonstrate strong examples of teamwork, across geographies and functions.
What Makes You Unique:
Preference will be given to candidates from the spirits sector, working or having worked in a similar role.
Existing relationships and/or knowledge of the markets will be a plus.
