Position Overview

The Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training is seeking an experienced law enforcement professional to serve as a Field Representative for the Northwest Region of Oklahoma. This position acts as CLEET’s primary liaison to regional law enforcement agencies and provides support related to academy oversight, instructor development, continuing education compliance, and certification matters.

The Field Representative helps ensure training programs meet CLEET standards and comply with Oklahoma statutes and administrative rules while assisting agencies in maintaining high standards of training and certification. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to CLEET’s core values of Integrity, Excellence, and Customer Service.

Essential Functions

• Serve as CLEET’s primary point of contact for law enforcement agencies in the Northwest region, providing guidance on certification requirements, training standards, and administrative rules. • Coordinate with regional academies to ensure compliance with CLEET curriculum and training standards, including administering CLEET progress and certification examinations and conducting site visits as needed. • Assist agencies with certification inquiries, training compliance, continuing education reporting, and required documentation. • Support instructor development and deliver CLEET continuing education courses, including developing curriculum, lesson plans, and training materials to enhance professional development for law enforcement personnel. • Maintain accurate documentation of agency interactions and training oversight while representing CLEET professionally when working with law enforcement leadership, training coordinators, and agency administrators.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• Oklahoma CLEET Peace Officer Certification in good standing. (Active or Retired) • Basic Instructor Development (BID) certification. • Documented experience as a CLEET certified instructor. • Strong public speaking, presentation, and instructional skills. • Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation. • Reside within the Northwest region of Oklahoma.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of ten (10) years of full-time law enforcement experience. • Experience coordinating or administering law enforcement training programs. • Supervisory or leadership experience within a law enforcement agency or training program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Working knowledge of Oklahoma peace officer certification standards and CLEET regulations. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to build professional relationships with law enforcement agencies and training partners. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities across a large geographic area. • Highly self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize responsibilities, and perform assigned duties independently with limited on-site supervision while operating in a remote, field-based environment. • Ability to review and evaluate training programs and documentation. • High ethical standards consistent with CLEET’s mission and values.

Work Environment

This position requires frequent travel throughout Oklahoma and the assigned region to meet with law enforcement agencies, attend training events, and conduct academy visits. Work is performed both in office environments and in field training settings.

Compensation and Benefits
