This is what you will do:
The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) will be responsible for managing accounts in a specified region focusing on but not limited to the Pacific Northwest. The FRM is responsible for providing access and reimbursement education to HCP office personnel including medical policies, prior authorization requirements, coding and billing, product access via buy-bill or specialty pharmacy and site of care options and restrictions with the goal of minimizing barriers to therapy. The FRM also supports by providing general education and case-specific guidance in response to PA denials and post-service reimbursement issues.

You will be responsible for:
Partnering with Alexion cross-functional partners on overall account and territory strategy to maximize internal/external customer knowledge on payor policy and processes
Being a subject matter expert on reimbursement and regional-specific access landscape. This includes medical/pharmacy benefit design, payer policies, prior authorization requirements, denials, appeals, peer to peer and other education required to navigate access for coverage of Alexion therapies
Creating short-term & long-term strategic account plans focused on increasing customers knowledge for key accounts
Collaborating with Alexion OneSourcePatient Services on individual case management needs related to HCP education on reimbursement issues
Leveraging all available resources including internal data to develop and execute account plans/call purpose
Complying with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Alexion activities; works with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Complying with annual budget allocation within respective territory
You will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree
5-7 years' experience in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical/ biotech industry
3+ years' experience working with buy and bill and/or specialty pharmacy networks
Understanding of access process from medical/pharmacy benefit design, Rx to infusion/injection
Experience with products that require prior authorization and clear understanding of related billing, coding and in-office support
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels, inside and outside of the company
Ability to educate physicians and other healthcare professionals with confidence and expertise in an office procedural environment
Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration skills, business planning, rapport building and active listening skills
Problem solver with a sense of urgency
Demonstrated technical aptitude and working proficiency in using iPad and working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
The duties of this role are generally conducted in a field environment. Travel and Role Related Areas
Ability to travel to work related meetings and functions and ability to travel overnight for [2-4] nights per week
Ability to travel up to 75%
Ability to drive to assigned targets within the territory using Fleet Vehicle that is provided by the company
A valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to travel regionally and cover large multi-state territories
Must reside in the region; relocation assistance is not provided
We would prefer for you to have:
Rare disease experience
3+ years of field reimbursement experience
Understanding of the top payers within the assigned geography
Experience in launching a new specialty pharmaceutical/biologic product or new product indication
Experience working through complex reimbursement issues
