    PURPOSE / DETAILS OF THE JOB

    Mission & Main Objectives
     

  • AMIEO TCS FQI Vehicle Engineer is responsible for securing overall Product Quality for assigned model(s) by tackling market concerns and getting countermeasure(s) with support from AMIEO TCS FQI Functional Engineering team and Field Engineering team
  • Be responsible and accountable for securing Brand Product Quality for complete lifecycle of the model.
  • Responsible for New Model Quality Task Force Management, accountable to manage the Task Force activity and ensure successful closure whereby all set KPI’s are achieved.
     
  • Working closely with Field Engineering (FE) engineers to ensure all TaskForce and relevant Life cycle concerns are effectively reported via Technical Report (TR) and Functional engineers work with Monozukuri TCS to Investigate and take necessary Countermeasures.
     
  • Leading collaboration with other markets in AMIEO and regions on global models, i.e X-Trail.
    Commonize issues and make One Voice to speed-up countermeasures (market solution).

     
  • Have a strong Customer Focus Mindset & Work towards making Customers Happy, as Product Quality has a strong influence on Customers perception of Brand Image
     
  • Strategy & KPI management:
    - Define the 3MIS & 12MIS Activities P-LIST Length
    - Master Lists (Initial, Durability, DISSAT, Market Priority & Cost) validation, prioritization and allocation to System engineers
    - KPI management (RF1) and Issue Prioritization

     
  • Leader on Quality KPI’s achievement, aligned with Department KPI from Global Head Quarters, aimed at achieving Departments’ Annual Action Plan.
     
  • Reporting: Report compilation, executive levelling & presentation in executive meetings

  • Main tasks and responsibilities :

  • Secure Product Quality of several assigned models coming from multiple production sources.
     
  • For Top Pareto concerns and G-DAT items meeting action criteria, ensure clear and accurate VOC collection including market and customer impact via Technical Reports through close co-ordination with Field Engineers.
     
  • Validate TR, conduct Warranty data analysis using Advance excel and/or Power Point slides (if needed) for Incident and Market impact explanation to responsible System engineers and thereby assign TR with proper alignment and agreement.
     
  • Upon Countermeasure request issuance (REQ), follow-up status of all OPEN Requests via effective communication during weekly follow-up meetings (QPM) and work towards request closure in shortest possible lead-time.
     
  • He/she should work with AMIEO FQI Functional Engineering and Production source to provide Field Fix (Quick solution) to Dealers è Customers (via FE support)
     
  • Monitor Countermeasure Effectiveness in the market. If Post Countermeasure incidents are on increase, re-open investigation. Aim towards zero defect.
     
  • Prepare Monthly Management Report for his/her respective Model that shows status of 3MIS, 12MIS & Durability concerns (PFP’s meeting C/M action criteria). Highlight any Hot concerns, roadblocks or escalation support from Management.
     
  • For New Models launched, conduct extensive Quality Improvement activities that includes Audit of first batch of SOP vehicles and daily Task Force activity to capture 100% of market issues and report to Production source for effective countermeasure adoption.
     
  • Conduct Customer Surveys to capture clear VOC for solution development.
     
  • With Learner Mindset, should pro-actively indulge in Self-Training (Technical, Soft skills & Management related trainings) using company’s Self Learning Portal
     
  • With changing market environment, should be flexible enough to take New and/or additional tasks from time-to-time as needed for ever evolving business.
  • BACKGROUND & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of Experience in a reputed OEM.
  • Experience in manufacturing plant and/or R&D with Auto OEM is an advantage.
  • Experience in vehicle concern root cause analysis and problem-solving is necessary.
  • Inclination / drive towards technical analysis and detailing is required.
  • Should have experience in Technical Report Writing Skills to clarify customer concern.
  • Driving license.
  • Should be well versed with Excel and PowerPoint applications.
  • Should possess strong data analytical skills.
  • Should possess strong Communication and Negotiation skill

  • Minimum Education Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering
  • Language Requirements  Well versed (Fluency) with English language (Read, Write & Understand) Knowhow of Chinese language is an added advantage
