As a Field Operator II, you are responsible for executing day-to-day activities that support regional goals, including coordinating product transfers, performing accurate measurement and equipment calibration, maintaining pipeline infrastructure, and supporting pigging operations such as receiving batch pigs and in-line inspection tools. By consistently following and applying Enbridge’s safety, operational, and environmental standards you will help deliver high-quality, compliant field performance.

What you will do:

  • Inspect, operate, and maintain pipeline systems, valves, and facilities, including pigging operations, while performing troubleshooting, repairs, calibrations, and equipment replacements.

  • Execute all work in accordance with safety standards, including Energy Isolation (LOTO), hazard assessments, and work permit requirements.

  • Perform regulatory and preventive maintenance activities such as tank, valve, and facility security inspections, along with quality control sampling.

  • Complete pipeline maintenance and emergency repairs (e.g., stopples) in compliance with Enbridge procedures, standards, and applicable regulations.

  • Support damage prevention programs by responding to One-Call tickets, performing line locating, monitoring excavations, and ensuring right-of-way integrity.

  • Collaborate with contractors and third parties to ensure safe, compliant operations in alignment with Enbridge policies and applicable DOT/OSHA requirements; maintain required OQ qualifications.

  • Contribute to emergency preparedness and response, including spill containment and cleanup, while maintaining facilities in a safe, clean, and environmentally responsible condition.

Who you are:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED with 2 years of oil and gas experience.

  • Familiar with pertinent equipment (e.g., valves, small/large piping, programmable logic controls, and instrumentation).

  • Must be committed to and able to display integrity, safety, and respect in the workplace.

  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.

  • Must be able to follow specific laboratory procedures without deviation.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • You will be required to undergo various background screenings that include but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check, company sponsored medical and drug testing.

Preferred:

  • College degree or technical school diploma.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field oriented, with specific office duties for training, meetings, documentation of tasks as required by the US Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies for which Enbridge must comply.

  • Must be willing to be on-call as required to support the operation of the pipeline system.

  • Must be willing to respond to emergencies that may require working longer hours.

Physical Requirements:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. 

Mental Requirements:  

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
