ROLE SUMMARY
The Field Medical Excellence TA Lead is a strategic analytics-driven position responsible for developing and executing comprehensive medical vision and strategies across the healthcare landscape. This role leverages both foundational and advanced analytics to drive medical impact, working cross-functionally with global and regional medical leadership teams to identify and address unmet medical needs. The position requires expertise in analyzing real-world data, healthcare systems, and market dynamics to generate actionable insights that improve patient care processes and outcomes. The TA Lead serves as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, managing medical analytics processes, coordinating with US Field Medical Leadership teams, and maintaining strong collaborative relationships across the organization. This role is instrumental in advancing medical insight assessment, supporting Customer Insights Working Groups (CIWGs), and ensuring effective communication of medical strategies while maintaining compliance and medical professionalism. Success in this position demands strong analytical capabilities, excellent project management skills, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making and advance the delivery of quality patient care
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize both foundational and advanced analytics to support the development of a comprehensive medical vision and strategy across the evolving Healthcare Landscape.
- Cross-functional leadership to pull insights and build medical strategy to help US Category CFC medical act efficiently and generate smart data to close care gaps
- Develop and execute strategies across the Pfizer portfolio in partnership with the global and regional medical leadership teams.
- Serve as point of contact for internal stakeholders to provide expertise on healthcare landscape from a medical perspective
- Identify synergies and areas of redundancy across markets and platforms and partner with ME&I Leadership Team to improve efficiency
- Actively support the Pfizer Medical Leadership Teams in fostering a strong environment of collaboration, teamwork, scientific excellence and medical professionalism.
- Compliantly understand clinical, market, and organized health system considerations to develop and execute on BU aligned collaborations, strategic medical partnerships, and data driven analytical that advance the delivery of quality care and improve patient outcomes
- Maintain, continually develop, and utilize analytical capabilities to enable effective collaborations with external customers
- Work cross-functionally within Pfizer guidance to identify, design, and deploy medical solutions aligned with Pfizer goals and strategies
- Maintain significant market and customer knowledge in an increasingly complex and dynamic marketplace

Medical Impact Analytics
- Compliantly collaborate with internally aligned BU’s and TA’s to understand the outcomes of interest and data analysis needs that accurately measure impact and effectiveness of our field medical organizations.
- Provide analytics that support the aligned internal BU’s advancement of medical impact
- Coordinating with aligned Country Leadership teams to establish medical impact analytics processes that support the successful execution of Medical objectives
- Maintain required level of knowledge of relevant TA/disease states and Pfizer medicines, providing therapeutic area/product information to key stakeholders
- Serve as a conduit and communicate Medical analytics that support medical strategy development for aligned Pfizer leadership teams
Foundational Medical Analytics Process
- Understand the priorities of Pfizer Medical Affairs to identify and measure the unmet medical need for patients.
- Analyze workflows and medical impact within healthcare systems to advance care processes with the goal of reducing care gaps, improve care efficiencies, and maximize quality and population health
- Establish processes to development and execute on ad-hoc analytics that identify critical unmet medical need challenges and supports the advancement of medical strategy and tactics.
- Partner with aligned BU’s and utilize RWD to consider how data can be leveraged to support safe and effective use of our medications.
- Provide objective and scientifically sound medical analytics regarding Pfizer’s medicines and the disease states that support the identification of unmet medical needs.
- Appropriately prioritize the needs of patients, providers, and Pfizer to develop and implement objective and scientifically sound Real World Evidence-based analytical approaches that shape medical strategy
- Utilize data driven analytics, real-world evidence, and customer insights to develop medical strategies and tactics for collaborations that improve the patient care process.
- Understand the principles of study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation to advance the approach to effective customer engagement
Advance Medical Insight Assessment & Action
- Work directly with the Category/Country Medical Analytics & Insights lead to deploy analytics critical to leading the medical insights process within their respective countries/business units (BUs).
- Work with global and regional Customer Insights Working Groups (CIWGs) to translate data sources, such as DFOs, into actionable insights and communicate these actions to both the field medical teams and senior management.
- Works with data analysts within Medical analytics team who support the CIWGs utilizing the preferred medical insights platform.
- Works with the relevant products within their BUs to organize, implement and staff global and regional customer insights working groups (CIWGs).
- Develops processes and procedures as necessary to drive insights and actionable insights from DFOs and other data sources.
- Works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for each relevant product to implement CIWGs and to assure the groups derive actions from the insight process.
- Provides support to the Medical Insights strategy lead to standardize cross BU processes regarding medical insights.
- Supports BU in their training efforts around DFO collection and documentation.
- Works with the CRM (MEDIC and OneMed) and systems teams to maintain data integrity for INCITE platform.
- Provides platform expertise (INCITE) to the BUs as needed.
- Plan and execute the Medical analytics and insight strategy for assigned categories and country medical teams.
- Execute on the assessment and communication of actionable medical insights that support the strategic decision-making process and result in the advancement in the delivery of quality patient care.
Communication of Impact and Strategy
- Maintain effective and appropriate communication and collaboration with the CMAO Leadership teams.
- Assist the Pfizer ME&I and FM Excellence Leadership team in assessing medical metrics, impact & strategies
- Demonstrate expertise in communication across multiple channels, including, but not limited to, live and virtual presentations in small or large settings, written communication, and virtual conversations
- Optimize patient centricity medical analytics to drive operational strategies that ensure the patient remains the ultimate focus
- Ensure that communication and collaboration between medical and commercial functions are effective, appropriate and compliant, and that the medical professionalism is always maintained.
- Positively represent Global Medical Excellence and Innovation leadership
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science required
- PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree preferred
- Relevant experience required: 8+ years with bachelor’s degree; 7+ years with master’s degree; 5+ years with PharmD/Ph.D
- Previous experience in field-based medical role
- Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results.
- Capable of comprehending and communicating in a clear, concise manner a large amount of scientific information and data.
- Significant, direct experience with matrix leadership and demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations.
- Strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in proactively identifying and addressing challenges.

- Ability to operate a Pfizer company car with a valid US Driver’s License and regularly fly on airplanes; must be within a 2-hour drive of a major airport. Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience analyzing health care data (claims, electronic health records, other health care data)
- Expertise in Clinical Informatics that includes working with data sets or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Residency or Fellowship experience
- Microsoft Access, statistics software, and/or data programming experience
- Leadership in innovative project start-up and management

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
