About the role
As a Field Delivery Telecommunications Trainee, you will work alongside a mentor offering you ongoing coaching, support and mentoring during your traineeship. You will get hands on training while providing our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services, in homes and/or businesses.

You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra's Behaviours & Habits and corporate strategy.

We have several positions available around the country. Find the specific locations below. The expectation is to reside in the targeted area or be willing to relocate.

Locations:

  • NSW- Sydney, Newcastle, Foster, Moree
  • QLD- Mackay, Roma, Brisbane, Gatton
  • VIC- Geelong
  • WA- Perth

This is a Fixed-term role for 12 months with opportunity for permanency thereafter.

To be considered for the opportunity you will need the following skills & attributes:

  • Hold a current drivers licence.
  • Physically fit for the role.
  • The ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screening.
  • Ability to undertake a police check.
  • Professional and polite communication.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude and safety-first approach.
  • Be technically minded.


Qualifications:
As a Trainee Technician you will be provided with Telecommunication Technology Cert III training during the traineeship along with relevant certifications and/or licencing for the location you reside in.

  • No prior qualifications needed.
  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment undertaken by RTO.

Telstra can support you through offering training on Traffic management, Working With Children Check and white card certificates.
