The Field Application Specialist (m/f/d) NGS is responsible for supporting customers of all the assays and reagents from the Roche Sequencing Solutions product portfolio. You will be the direct contact for application-related inquiries from our field staff and our customers in hospitals, research and private laboratories.
The Opportunity
Provide expert application support and troubleshooting for all Roche Sequencing products and assays to resolve customer inquiries and technical issues.
Collaborate with the Service team to handle system installations and deliver high-quality technical training to customers.
Co-create and conduct specialized application training programs for the full suite of Roche Diagnostics Sequencing products.
Serve as a subject matter expert to assist local sales and marketing teams with technical insights and strategic support.
Work directly with liquid handling systems and coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure seamless workflow integration.
Oversee service processes and monitor overall product and system quality to ensure peak performance and customer satisfaction.
Engage in internal strategic meetings and represent Roche at external industry events, including seminars and conferences.
Who you are
You have a degree in natural sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Medicine), ideally a PhD, with at least 3 years of professional experience in research or service institutions focused on NGS technologies.
You possess in-depth scientific knowledge of genomics, oncology, and the IVD market, including the ability to quickly analyze complex problems and present effective solutions.
You have a proven track record in project management and feel comfortable working within intercultural teams as a competent partner for both colleagues and customers.
You offer specialized expertise in establishing NGS workflows on liquid handling systems and possess a foundational understanding of bioinformatics.
You are based near an airport and are highly motivated to travel across the Nordics and other European countries as required by the role.
You are a strong communicator who is professionally fluent in both Swedish and English.
Additionally you need to be resilient and tenacious. You strive under pressure, working effectively as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines. With strong analytical skills, you are at ease working with technical, scientific and numeric information. You will be working closely with the wider team and all other areas of Roche to provide excellent support for our customers.
