Field Accounting Manager UKN / Manager Management Accounting

Otis is growing and is looking for a Field Accounting Manager. The role reports to the UKN Chief Accountant and leads the Management Accounting activities for the UKN. Responsible for a team of Management Accountants covering all month end related activities. The Field Accounting Manager will also represent Finance where required in related Transformation and Systems Projects.

On a typical day you will:

  • Support the month-end and year end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, company policies and relevant accounting standards (e.g. GAAP / IFRS)
  • Ensure accuracy in the systems and processes that we use within the business (JDE, Qlik, CRM etc)
  • Act as a key liaison between the finance department and other departments to support business needs.
  • Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems and reporting mechanisms to enhance data quality.
  • Mentor and lead the team of 3, overseeing their professional development.
  • Support external audit preparation by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial results and processes. 
  • Support Internal Audit ACA reviews and IC enquiries.
  • Ensure accuracy of postings, results and balances for the Otis UK P&L and Balance Sheet including GL & Statistical data.
  • Ensure reconciliations are completed in a timely manner, accurate and are clear of aged open items.
  • Lead Finance involvement in Systems changes/updates, ensuring accuracy of reporting between systems.
  • Lead Finance involvement in Transformation projects guiding Operational and Support Functions with strong financial advice.
  • Act as Company Accountant for Norway.

 

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent
  • Relevant professional accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software and tools.
  • Fluent written and spoken English essential.
