Fiber Planner
We’re looking for a Fiber Planner to join us at Telia.
I’m Lene Berg, Manager Fiber Planning, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on planning, documenting and optimizing Telia’s fiber infrastructure in Norway. You’ll join a dedicated team of 13 professionals, primarily based in Oslo, Stavanger and Trondheim.
What you’ll do:
As a Fiber Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Telia’s fiber network is robust, efficient, and ready for the future. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain high standards of quality and performance.
Plan and document fiber networks across Telia’s infrastructure
Respond to internal and external requests regarding network capacity
Perform quality assurance on contractor documentation
Support analysis and data quality initiatives to improve network efficiency
What will help you thrive in this role:
You’re a solution-oriented team player who enjoys working independently and collaboratively. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for improving processes and infrastructure.
Proven experience in fiber network planning and documentation (2–4 years)
Expertise in Smallworld LNI/PNI for fiber network design and documentation
Familiarity with Telemator and Visio for network visualization and planning
Ability to manage complex projects and deliver measurable outcomes
Fluency in Norwegian and English
Eligible for security clearance
