Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate daily activities involved in producing the products
• Meet production goals.
• Establishing and/or adjusting work procedures and manpower to meet production schedules
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and employee safety
• Assisting workers in solving problems
• Implements plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals
• Handles counseling, training and development of direct reports

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 5-8 years in manufacturing, 3 in supervisory capacity
• Associates degree or higher with supervisory certifications
• Prior Leader ship experience required
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and World Class Manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures is desirable

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work in a multi-tasking team environment
• Ability to work with little or no notice of overtime when needed
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and procedures
• Good interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal.

• Excellent Organizational Skills
• Computer Literate- experience with Microsoft Office,  ERP/MRP (helpful)
• Ability to apply common sense in performing job
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to use basic high school math skills

• Production Operators and Testers

Training Requirements:

• IFS Overview
• Quality Systems
• Hazardous Communications

Physical Demands:

• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
• Repetitive motions

Work Environment:

• Production floor environment

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Safety glasses required at all times
• Safety shoes
