Federal Work-Study: Student Records Clerk

Indianapolis, IN Part time
Under the direction of the College Registrar, this position provides administrative support for the office.

Educational Outcomes
1. Understand how the Registrar’s Office functions and supports the teaching and learning of a college.
2. Learn and use technology that supports the Registrar’s Office.
3. How to collaborate and provide customer service.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check the office mail and distribute mail to the campuses and to the student hub.

  • Image and scan student records.

  • Monitors the office inbox and communicates information.

  • Assists with data entry for processing transcripts.

  • Assists the office in troubleshooting system issues.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must work well in a team environment and exercise sound problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to learn and use databases, Excel sheets, the Microsoft Office Suite, and provide excellent customer service.
