FCC Catalyst Testing Lab Technician

Ketjen is hiring for a R&T Technician. This position is located in Pasadena Texas, at the Bayport facility with the BARQ lab group.

What You Will Do

• Small scale test unit operation in accordance with lab procedures.

• FST Lab equipment maintenance and documentation of repairs, operational control validation in accordance with ISO control.

• GC operation, calibration, data documentation, troubleshooting.

• Manage all aspects of FST unit operations.
• Train in all other supportive operational equipment in the lab.
• Update and evaluate unit performance tracking data charts.
• Provide detailed reports on data generated in support of research projects.
• Maintain throughput pace of scheduled testing priorities.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping of lab workspace.
• Comply with all environmental waste handling regulations.

Accountabilities

Procedures and other SOPs are closely followed, and deviations are explained and documented. Operations databases are kept up to date. Communication is effective and timely with supervisor and all other technicians. Work is carried out with no safety incidents, and potential safety issues are proactively resolved in a timely fashion. Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities with a good attitude. Work is scheduled and carried out according to defined priorities to maximize efficiency.

What You Bring

Required:

• Batchelor's of Science in Chemistry
• 10 years plus experience in related industry
• GC knowledge, Sample Manager experience, small scale test equipment operation.
