Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Fan Blade Part Family Manager to support our Engineering Support to Operations organization.

What You Will Do:  

  • Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the delivery of commercial fan blade hardware, ensuring all product milestones, quality standards, and customer commitments are consistently achieved within established schedules.
  • Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term producibility strategies for the assigned product family. Maintain accountability for non‑conformance management, Class II engineering changes, recall activity support, and the associated budget and resource planning.
  • Serve as the onsite engineering manager for the PW Holt facility, acting as the primary interface with onsite Operations and Quality leadership. Coordinate daily priorities, remove roadblocks, and ensure engineering support meets operational needs.
  • Integrate cross‑functionally with Quality, Operations, Suppliers, Customers, and engineering teams across PW and supplier sites to confirm that technical requirements are understood, validated, and met throughout all stages of production.
  • Travel Requirement: 10% (Domestic and International).

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 12 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in Engineering and 10 years of engineering experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Design, develop, and provide ongoing production support for Compression Systems Hardware, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, performance, and compliance requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve issues within established engineering timelines.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams of engineering, operations, and quality professionals to achieve program milestones and operational goals. Demonstrate the ability to set clear objectives, monitor progress, and deliver results within defined schedule and budget parameters.
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise technical and leadership communications to stakeholders at all levels. Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships that support effective decision‑making and project execution.

Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO): ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
