Family Office Advisor

Remote - New York Full time

The Family Office Advisor will serve as a dedicated resource for high-net-worth clients, providing comprehensive and personalized insurance and risk management solutions. This role involves understanding complex family dynamics and financial structures to deliver tailored strategies that protect wealth and assets across generations.

Your Impact

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families, acting as their primary point of contact for all insurance-related needs.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify potential risks and exposures, including property & casualty, life, health, cyber, and specialty coverages.
  • Design and implement customized insurance portfolios that align with clients' unique financial goals, risk tolerance, and estate planning objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal RSC Insurance Brokerage teams, as well as external advisors (e.g., wealth managers, attorneys, tax advisors) to ensure integrated and holistic client solutions.
  • Proactively review and update client policies, ensuring coverage remains appropriate as circumstances and market conditions evolve.
  • Educate clients on complex insurance products, industry trends, and risk mitigation strategies in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Assist clients with claims processes, advocating on their behalf to ensure fair and timely resolutions.
  • Stay abreast of changes in insurance regulations, tax laws, and wealth management trends impacting high-net-worth individuals.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling additional insurance products and services to existing clients.
  • Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's family office client base.


Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional designation (e.g., CFP, CLU, CPCU) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 3-5 years specifically serving high-net-worth or family office clients.
  • Active and valid Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses.
  • Deep understanding of complex insurance products and structures relevant to high-net-worth individuals, including personal lines, commercial lines (for family enterprises), and specialized coverages.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with sophisticated clients and their advisors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of assessing unique risk profiles and crafting bespoke solutions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and standard office applications.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Pay Range:

$84,200 - $145,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
