Job Summary: This position is located in Rock Creek Park, in the Maintenance Division. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Facility Management Systems Specialist with primary responsibility for the Facility Management Software System (FMSS).

Qualifications: Requirements Continued... You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 1 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority. You must be able of lifting at minimum 25 pounds. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-05/11/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include at least 4 of the following activities such as: (1) experience with using standardized guidelines to determine the condition of assets; (2) operating a facility management software database system; (3) training new facility management database software system users; (4) assisting in the determination of Asset Priority Index (API) ratings for assets; (5) calculating and updating asset Current Replacement Value (CRV); (6) preparing and presenting reports to management from facility management system databases. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. You must include your resume with hours worked per week annotated, as well as transcripts. Take the number of months of full time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level, you must possess at least of one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include at least 5 of the following activities such as: (1) extensive experience with work practices and construction standards related to repair, rehabilitation, and construction of physical assets; (2) overseeing a facility management software database system in a unit; (3) analyzing, defining and recommending solutions to problems with the database system; (4) coordinating training programs associated with use and maintenance of a facility management database; (5) serving as liaison for unit divisions and groups for the facility management database program; (6) independently estimating the resources required for complex long and short term projects; (7) analyzing budget data in order to make recommendations for the modification or reprogramming of project funds. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. You must include your resume with hours worked per week annotated, as well as transcripts. Take the number of months of full time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies". Experience listed as full-time will be credited at 40 hours per week. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
