Summary

Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Job Description

  • Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs periodic preventive maintenance of machines, equipment, moulds, tools and/or building utilities including including steam, water treatment according to maintenance scheme
  • Responsible for correct registration and documentation of the breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities
  • Provides 24×7 support (if needed) to troubleshoot and repair the machines, equipment, moulds, tools and building utilities problems
  • Performs root cause analysis to drive improvement to equipment and processes
  • Develops maintenance cost reduction initiatives
  • Provides support in continuous improvement activities
  • Changes moulds on machines and starts up/releases production line after mould change
  • Observes proper 6S in the facility
  • Supports production activities if this is required by production planning
  • Background

  • Technical vocational or ladder rise course graduate preferably in Mechatronics or Electromechanics
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work-related experience from a manufacturing industry in a high technology environment
  • Judgment and problem-solving capabilities in reviewing service requests for repairs and maintenance
  • With electrical, mechanical, and machining background (milling, turning, grinding)
  • Has hands-on technical experience on electronic board, and low voltage power supply design and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge in PLC (programmable logic controls) is an advantage
  • Knowledge in high voltage (DC) test setup is an advantage

  • Familiar with business tools such as:  E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
