Purpose Statement:  Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment to ensure that the facility is able to support all facets of production and production-related operations.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Fabricate machinery support equipment as needed in support of manufacturing process needs, including welded racking, support bracing and material handling items.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems such as electrical, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and more. Install necessary hardware and utilize continuous improvement tools to promote efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Lead and document preventive maintenance on all facility systems and equipment to proactively identify risks and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the equipment support team to effectively install, remove, and reconfigure facility resources for production equipment, meeting manufacturing, industry, and customer requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to external contractors conducting facility and equipment repairs, ensuring effective working relationships and efficient task completion.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Five (5) years of related experience is required; Seven (7) or more years of related experience is preferred. Depending on site requirements and business needs, completed state-approved Maintenance Technician or Industrial Electrician apprenticeship, completion of formal HVAC/refrigeration training or equivalent, and minimum of 7 years industry experience may be required with at least 10 years industry experience preferred.
  • Employee should be able to read and follow electrical wiring diagrams.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude is required and a working knowledge of single phase and three phase 120v, 208v, 277v, and 480v electrical systems is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
