Purpose within the Organization:
The purpose of this position is to assist Facilities Housing Management and Maintenance Personal with housing related job tasks.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
Clean and disinfect hallways, laundry rooms, common areas, study rooms, lobby’s, elevators, windows, toilets, etc.
Assist in moving building material, equipment, and supplies.
Hose down or power wash stairwells, entrances, sidewalks, and courtyards.
Change light bulbs, air filters, etc.
Assist in patching and painting various surfaces, changing window screens, various flooring repair and replacement, and light plumbing, electrical, and various other general maintenance tasks.
Assist in inspections and reporting.
Qualifications:
Must be local and available to work over Summer.
Must have some experience in custodial/general maintenance work.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
Must be able to stay on feet for up to 6-hour shifts.
Must be a team player.
Must be open to learning and adapting.
Must be good at following strict departmental policies and protocols.
Must be open to constructive criticism.

Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
