The Boeing CompanyBoeing’s Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is currently seeking a Facilities Structural Engineer, at either Experienced or Senior level, to join our Projects, Assets, Construction, and Engineering (PACE) team in Hazelwood, MO.

In this role, you will collaborate with technical councils and help shape the future of facilities engineering at Boeing.
This role involves providing hands-on guidance for reactive equipment repairs, supporting planning and construction projects through requirements definition and project oversight and exploring opportunities to improve site infrastructure. This position will focus on structural design and structural/seismic analysis for building systems and equipment support, including foundation design, roadway repair, building modifications and support for large equipment installation projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead project teams to develop moderately complex conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provide maintenance support for the structural phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds including advanced seismic designs
Review structural/seismic designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes and regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices and materials
Lead teams to ensure accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor redlines
Identify errors and document construction changes to align with regulatory requirements, facility standards and record retention requirements
Lead production or procurement of detailed design documents
Use appropriate resources to produce project drawings, specifications and permit application packages in accordance with project parameters
Coordinate designs, review and approve documents
Provide recommendations for strategic, short-term and long-term infrastructure planning; complete studies; analyze current conditions and future requirements; recommend capital improvements; gather and analyze data; and work with both internal and external customers to identify and assess alternatives and impacts
Lead in interpretation and analysis of regulations, standards, codes and ordinances with respect to project requirements
Translate customer requirements into conceptual design by analyzing intended use/occupancy and desired aesthetics, conducting code research, developing preliminary design elements, determining interdisciplinary engineering support requirements, estimating resource costs/requirements, identifying materials, equipment and services and developing initial project schedule in order to establish project scope
Provide support to secure permits
Offer project alternatives to ensure compliance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree or greater in an engineering related field
3+ years of experience in a Civil and/or Structural Engineering Role
3+ experience using AutoCAD (or similar CAD package)
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Professional Engineer (PE) license
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in design, analysis and evaluation of building structures, including foundations, roofing, framing, floors, equipment supports, seismic bracing, roadways, etc.
5+ years of experience leading construction projects
5+ years of experience with building and safety codes
5+ years of experience leading cross functional engineering teams
Experience working in a production environment

Summary Pay Range for Experienced Level: $103,700 - $140,300
Summary Pay Range for Senior Level: $126,650 - $171,350
