Facilities Service Technician

Field-VT Full time


Job Summary:

The role of Facilities Service Technician will be a critical part of the Vermont Maintenance Department, reporting to the Design and Planning Manager. In this role you will be responsible for helping to maintain 100+ gasoline locations along with a team of technicians. This is a field-based position, where you are in the field 5 days a week, working with station dealers and managers on a regular basis. You will be responsible for maintaining site building repairs, HVAC preventative Maintenance and other tasks as needed. We will provide a company- issued work truck for this role.

Job Description:

"Gauges" of Responsibility

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions in the field.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and emergency calls.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
  • Travel to various job sites across Vermont & New Hampshire as needed
  • Daily travel with occasional overnights

Additional Job Description:

Qualifications

  • Experience working in the petroleum industry a plus
  • Preferred knowledge of Fuel Dispensers and Point of Sale systems is a plus
  • You manage and take ownership of your work with limited supervision
  • You consistently meet deadlines and are results-oriented
  • Willing to learn and become certified on different POS systems and components
  • Occasional light handy man work as needed may be requested
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Windows, IT capability is a plus
  • Experience in Service Channel is a plus

Pay Range:

$23.80 - $33.32

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
