Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Facilities – Workplace Services plays a key role in supporting corporate projects and business initiatives by ensuring the effective operation, stewardship, and continuous improvement of Aetna’s corporate facilities. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders to provide guidance, insight, and decision support related to facilities operations, capital planning, and infrastructure needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

You will be responsible for oversight of administrative facilities supporting the Aetna Corporate Property, providing engineering review and technical support for new facilities, renovations, and critical infrastructure projects. You will manage multi‑million‑dollar operating and capital budgets across owned and leased facilities and ensures facilities services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

You will also lead and develop a small team of facilities professionals, promoting effective communication, collaboration, and strong working relationships with cross‑functional partners. You will oversee facility services and communications in alignment with established processes, procedures, and KPIs to support high levels of customer satisfaction and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees day‑to‑day operations of assigned corporate and administrative facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant building operations.
  • Develops, manages, and executes operating and capital budgets aligned with divisional goals; provides regular financial reporting, tracks variances, and supports recovery plans within established targets.
  • Supports development and approval of annual capital plans, including infrastructure upgrades and building modifications to maintain long‑term facility functionality.
  • Provides engineering review and technical support for new facilities, renovations, and existing critical projects.
  • Conducts facility assessments—including mechanical systems, building envelope, interiors, and energy performance—and develops recommendations for improvements.
  • Drives cost savings and efficiency improvements through effective vendor utilization, preferred supplier programs, and operational enhancements.
  • Partners with procurement to define scope of work, coordinate supplier walk‑throughs, and manage vendor and contractor performance at the property level.
  • Ensures compliance with portfolio standards and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to corporate facility operations.
  • Maintains accurate and timely facilities data across systems supporting operational processes, metrics, and reporting.
  • Leads and develops staff, fostering engagement, accountability, and effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Develops and implements programs, processes, and initiatives that reduce short‑ and long‑term operating costs while improving productivity, asset performance, and longevity.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related facilities management experience in a multiple disciplined field with 3+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • Previous experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proven experience delivering strong business results within stringent timeframes
  • Proven experience solving complex problems in fast-paced environment

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
