In this position you can expect to work on site at Denver International Airport (parking is provided).
Until the shift bid occurs, the anticipated schedule for this role is Monday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Friday.
Shifts consist of four (4) 10-hour days
The primary shift will be discussed in interview and can be any of the shifts listed below
Shifts are yearlong commitments and are subject to change based on operational need
Modified: 1000-2000 (10:00 AM-8:00 PM)
Swing Shift: 1430-0100 (2:30 PM-1:00 AM)
Shifts are not guaranteed and are subject to change. A pay differential of 7% to 12% may apply, depending on the shift assigned
Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If staffing challenges occur, weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts (includes nights, weekends, and holidays)

Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking a seasoned plumbing leader to join our Facility Management Team! This individual will lead the day-to-day operations of DEN’s plumbing service call division and will oversee a team of plumbers and coordinate closely with the corrective maintenance team to ensure timely and effective resolution of service requests.
Specifically, as the Facilities Management Supervisor, you will:
Supervise staff performing technical construction, maintenance, and repair of DEN facilities, support departmental goals, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow.
Perform computer-based tasks, including reviewing, updating, and closing work orders in the work order management system (Maximo), and prepare documentation, presentations, and reports using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Plan, schedule, assign, and evaluate staff work, provide technical guidance, and establish unit goals and objectives.
Inspect construction and installation work for compliance with specifications, layout standards, and timelines; review completed work and provide corrective feedback.
Implement and enforce safety standards and develop procedures to ensure compliance.
Plan, budget, and schedule maintenance and repair activities; evaluate repair options and recommend internal repairs, contract services, or equipment purchases; prepare cost estimates, order materials, and maintain documentation of completed work.
Coordinate projects with other trade groups and engineers, serve as subject-matter expert, and perform journey-level plumbing duties.
Develop preventive maintenance programs and recommend schedules for servicing specialized equipment; maintain records and prepares daily activity reports for maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.
Conducts interviews and select candidates for vacancies.
Resolves operational problems, mediates conflicts, promotes teamwork, and ensures staff are informed about relevant organizational issues; document and recommend disciplinary actions, respond to grievances, and prepare written responses.
Establishes performance goals, documents performance, provides feedback, and formally evaluates staff. Recognizes accomplishments and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
Experience leading and supervising plumbing technicians.
Extensive technical and hands-on experience in large commercial plumbing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules, operational needs, and emergency situations.
Master Plumber’s License (preferred but not required).
Back-Flow Tester Certification (preferred but not required).
Education requirements: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience in journey-level skilled trades or in facility maintenance operations.
Education/Experience Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
License/Certifications: This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Positions supervising Plumbers require possession of a valid Journey Plumber's License issued by the State of Colorado at the time of application.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
