Due to the nature of the role, an on-site presence is required and cannot be performed remotely. The position will follow our 9/80 schedule which allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. 

The successful candidate is expected to be a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of construction processes including design for ICD705 requirements, budgeting, and scheduling. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget—while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

The Facilities Engineering Manager 2 will be located in Clearfield, UT

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders

  • Lead cross-functional team including security, engineering, and manufacturing teams

  • Facilitate communication and coordination among program participants

  • Supervises employees who specify and prepare statements of work to maintain, repair, upgrade and replace facilities infrastructure assets

  • Collect and define program requirements to provide comprehensive requirements  

  • Collaborates with facilities engineering, projects, and maintenance management teams to propose solutions and strategies to business challenges

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project

  • Track progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines

  • Utilizes Maximo computerized maintenance management system to schedule, track and report on infrastructure maintenance, service requests and work orders

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards

  • Conduct regular site review to verify requirements are being met as designed and expected

  • Provide regular updates to senior management, and other stakeholders

  • Identify risks, issues, and opportunities promptly to maintain project momentum

  • Ensure quick response to Requests for Information (RFI) from the construction and the design team

  • Attend owner’s meetings with the contractor and facilities as necessary

  • Perform functional responsibilities related to day to day management including performance management, career development, and engagement strategy execution.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Must either have a bachelor’s degree and 9 years of facility related experience or; a master’s degree and 7 years of facility related experience or a PhD and 5 years of facility related experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

  • 3+ Years of experience successfully managing and leading teams which includes ability to lead and manage teams effectively, fostering collaboration and achieving organizational objectives

  • Experience overseeing and guiding projects from inception to completion

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs

  • Secret Clearance

  • Active Special Access Program (SAP)

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
