Overview of Position:

Provides direct supervision to all assigned plant operations department personnel on a daily basis. Ensures maintenance and repair work is properly assigned and coordinated with appropriate plant operations personnel and customers. Follows-up to make sure the assigned work is done in a satisfactory and timely manner. Required to perform maintenance repairs and planned maintenance work as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1.    Supervises plant operations staff by communicating with staff and assigning/coordinating the required work to be done.
2.    Support plant operations staff by coordinating with customers through appropriate communication methods. 
3.    Reviews PM and other completed work orders for satisfactory and timely completion. Forwards to office for completion in CMMS.
4.    Orders parts and inventory as required. Ensures inventory par levels are maintained.
5.    Responsible for assigned staff’s time & attendance, including development and upkeep of shift coverage schedule.
6.    Arranges any maintenance and repair work that needs to be done by outside contractor/vendor.
7.    Conducts staff evaluations including JPEDs.
8.    Makes resourceful decisions, weighing alternatives and alerting those affected before taking action.
9.    Assists in the development of plant operations policies, standards, protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.  
10.    Initiates emergency procedures in Fire & Life Safety, Utility Management, Disaster Preparedness and Hazardous Communication.
11.    Performs maintenance repairs and planned maintenance work as necessary.
12.    Performs electrical work such as running and bending conduit, wire cutting, splitting basic circuits, and replacing receptacles and switches.
13.    Troubleshoots and repairs/replaces HVAC systems, Repairs/replaces plumbing systems, Brazes refrigeration piping, Repairs, replaces and/or rebuilds major equipment.
14.    Works flexible hours to gain access to perform any required maintenance of equipment unavailable during normal duty hours or as emergencies arise. This includes reporting to work for any after-hours emergency response needs.
15.    Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures.
16.    Performs other functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
1.    Minimum of one (1) year experience of leadership responsibility in a Plant Operations/Maintenance department.
2.    Minimum of five (5) years experience in electrical/ mechanical/ building trade.
3.    High school graduate or equivalency.
4.    Must have valid driver’s license.
5.    Knowledgeable in use of tools and resources used to complete work, i.e., hammer drills, cut saw, electrical meters, conduit benders, knock out punch, etc.
6.    Demonstrates problem-solving skills in completing work.
7.    Ability to comprehend technical information and verify documentation, including schematics, technical specifications and regulatory codes and standards.
8.    Ability to read, write and utilize manual and computerized systems of documentation including email and word /spreadsheet processing applications
9.    Must meet the qualifications/certifications of the Level II or Level III.  If you do not have the Level III certification, you must pass the certification to the Level III within one year to remain in the coordinator position.

5.    May work in various environmental conditions such as hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.
6.    Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
7.    Must be available to be on-call as assigned.
