What You’ll Work On
The Facilities Contractor Coordinator is responsible for providing support and/or oversight to Contract Workers in the Manufacturing areas as it relates to procedure adherence, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), proper sanitation and root cause/corrective action investigations. In this role, the individual will be required to interact and communicate extensively with both external and plant support personnel to assure that contractor projects are eliminating risks related to our safety and quality practices.
Comply with all regulations and standards for quality, Environment, Health, Safety and Energy (EHS&E) Global Policies, Abbott Engineering Standards, and other governance areas as applicable. Ensure quality and effectiveness of assigned tasks. Has awareness of the potential consequences (defects and failure modes) of design changes to established processes. Identifies areas of risk with respect to compliance.
Oversee all site contracted projects performed by external parties with a focus on compliance to EHS&S and GMP requirements
Assist in the training of contract personnel related to safety, quality and compliance standards. Establishes contacts with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the section or group. Prepares written communication. Conveys information effectively through formal and informal documents with team members, designers, technicians, and other technical personnel, both internal and external to Abbott, using appropriate communication protocols.
Work as a liaison between contractors and site leadership or other supporting groups to address gaps in these groups meeting expectations
Performs tasks such as safety/quality checklists, cleaning and sanitization procedures, etc.
Perform Administrative duties as required
Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule based on contract work schedules
Accountable for ensuring compliance with applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA and Abbott regulations, policies, procedures or guidelines.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment
Must possess strong leadership skills while demonstrating excellent written, verbal, analytical, and mechanical skills with proficiency in various computer systems and software.
Must be highly motivated and self-driven to effectively manage multi-tasks in a dynamic, team-oriented environment while utilizing good judgment, effective communication, and strong problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals

The base pay for this position is
$19.05 – $38.15/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
