Job Summary: The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, House Office Buildings, Facilities Management Division. The organizational goals or objectives of this position are to employ a sustainable facility asset management approach within the jurisdiction by establishing requirements, then managing and executing asset management plans.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. 1. Designing, and/or implementing processes for monitoring, measurement, analysis, and/or evaluation of facility asset performance and progress towards operational facility asset management objectives; 2. Creating processes and/or programs for managing temporary and/or permanent changes to facility asset strategies, stakeholder performance requirements, individual assets, asset management plans, operational plans, standards, and/or roles and responsibilities; and 3. Implementing and/or updating operational performance requirement guides for facility asset categories. Candidates for the GS-13 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. 1. Developing a communication matrix/plan for stakeholders regarding facility asset management; and 2. Establishing and documenting operational facility asset management objectives for individual facility asset categories (HVAC, exterior envelope, etc.).
