Facilities Administrative Coordinator

State College, PA Full Time

The Facilities Administrative Coordinator will serve an important role at AccuWeather’s Global Headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania, ensuring the efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing mail. You will be responsible for transporting mail and packages throughout the building and preparing outgoing items for secure and timely delivery.

This entry-level position will also provide backup support to other team members in daily operations related to the maintenance and security of AccuWeather’s Headquarters and additional office locations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Deliver and collect in-house and outgoing mail on routine basis, which includes driving to local post office daily
  • Prepare packages for regular mail and FedEx for same day delivery, keeping track of all packages until they reach their destination
  • Enter and track all invoices related to Facilities into AccuWeather’s financial program system
  • Maintain and monitor all shipping supplies (i.e. postal machine)
  • Assist with Facilities’ Department documentation, including working with Director of Facilities to ensure emergency plans and protocols are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Assist with special programs and projects assigned to the Facilities Department
  • When needed, provide back-up assistance for others in Facilities Department with the day-to-day tasks related to security, building maintenance and security
  • Other duties may be assigned
      

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School education or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a mailroom/shipping and receiving setting or with administrative duties
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel)
