Job Description
DPR is looking for an experienced Fabric Administrator/ Architect & Administrator to join our Data and AI team and work closely with the Data Platform, BI and Enterprise architecture teams to influence the technical direction of DPR’s data engineering and analytics initiatives.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and technical leads, to ensure alignment between business needs and data architecture and create data solutions that fit our needs
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own the overall data architecture on Fabric— Initial focus is on Power BI but there will be a need for various specific data engineering solutions.
- Develop, optimize, and manage conceptual and logical data architectures and integrations across both internal and external systems.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and analytics teams to deliver business-critical data solutions.
- Responsible for all data operation on Fabric. Responsibility extends into some advanced Analytics and AI concepts on the Microsoft platform.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms to support evolving business needs.
- Partner with strategic customers to understand their vision and ensure future requirements are incorporated into the platform roadmap.
- Support data engineers in developing and managing conceptual, logical and physical data models
- Rapidly prototype high-priority solutions in cloud platforms, demonstrating their feasibility and business value.
- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle and lead data architecture initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a data architecture role, leading the design and delivery of solutions at scale in cloud environments; 6 months + experience in Fabric preferred
- Proven expertise in data analysis, data modeling, and data engineering with a focus on cloud- native data platforms.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture leadership role, designing and delivering solutions at scale in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with secure and scalable enterprise data architectures using Microsoft Azure.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft data technology, with experience building robust data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Deep understanding of Power BI administration, architecture, and metadata
- Experience in designing data structures for data lakes and cloud data warehouses to support analytics and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, and experience working closely with cross functional teams to manage technical backlogs.
- Skilled in orchestrating and automating data pipelines within a DevOps framework.
- Strong communicator with the ability to present ideas clearly and influence stakeholders — with a passion for enabling data-driven transformation.
