Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines team has a rare opportunity for F135 Global Operations Center (On-Site) in Fort Worth, Texas.

As part of the F135 Sustainment Organization executing Performance Based Logistics Contracts, the Global Operations Center is responsible for ensuring 24/7 F-35 fleet supportability of the propulsion system and integration with all disciplines of the F135 value stream.

 As a F135 Field Operations Support specialist at the Fort Worth based element of the Global Operations Center, you will utilize, work, and collaborate with the Wright-Patterson AFB Lightning Sustainment Center.  Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating and supporting the F135 sustainment sub-domain out of East Hartford, CT and across field sites to drive closure to customer action requests. 

This role includes direct senior level customer interaction with the Lightning Support Team (LST), Joint Program Office (JPO), JPO Lightning Sustainment Center (LSC) leadership and Lockheed Martin PSIC and Propulsion leads.

What You Will Do:  

  • Act as the propulsion representative for F-35 Fleet issues, status and actions within the F135 Field Operations Support team
  • Work with the F135 Lightning Sustainment Center through daily status meetings and communicate to PW customers in the USG as well as Lockheed Martin and Rolls-Royce to close out fleet action requests and supply and logistics inquiries
  • Support customers to ensure Action Request closure is within the SLA (Service Level Agreement)
  • Actively work in the Action Request (AR) process (F-35 program specific) which includes generating ARs, transferring AR information to P&W Engineering for review, reporting AR information for Metrics, tracking AR’s to closure, and passing information into government sponsored systems (LIST).
  • Must acquire JCL2 export classifier status with training provided by PW Education Certification
  • Because the F-35 Fleet is worldwide, work during some holidays and weekends throughout the year will be required.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • BA/BS degree in related aviation management/engineering/technical/logistics field required.
  • 5+ years working in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering sustainment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiar with the F135 propulsion system
  • Self-Starter/Self-motivated
  • Excellent presentation skills, project management, proficiency in fleet sustainment processes, and strong leadership skills are essential
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • You will have experience in, and be comfortable with, working in a high pressure, fast-paced environment

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
