The Boeing Company is seeking an F-15 Avionics Lab Design and Analysis Engineer. This position is part of the Boeing Test & Evaluation engineering team supporting F-15 avionics laboratories and flight test at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

Principal responsibilities will include collaborating within a group of dedicated engineers to support the test and evaluation of new aircraft sensors, weapons, and airborne computing systems. The successful applicant will have an interest in continual learning and a strong desire to apply and advance their software skills.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including an Entry-Level or Associate level Design & Analysis Engineer.

Position Responsibilities Include:

This position will utilize your education, technical skills, and experience to: 

  • Develop software tools for use by the lab and flight test teams to enable real-time monitoring of aircraft avionics data, sensor data, and weapons data

  • Create system architectures and software designs from requirements and product specs

  • Integrate software with avionics data bus interface hardware

  • Maintain and upgrade the server framework that provides data flows and recording

  • Design algorithms and data structures to create new engineering software tools

  • Test and validate performance of the server framework and applications

  • Support delivery and installation of software packages to internal and external users

  • Train users on setup and operation of the tools for lab and flight testing

  • Support fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

  • Implement user feedback for bug fixes and improvements to software engineering tools

  • Develop technical documentation to guide future software engineering projects

  • Support test efforts in the laboratories and flight test control rooms

 Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

  • This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • Experience in C++ software development in a Windows operation system environment

  • Experience in a role that required the ability to work in a collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience with software tools, software troubleshooting, and scripting

  • Experience in graphical user interface (GUI) design

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

  • C# programming experience highly desired

  • Engineering experience in a laboratory environment

  • Knowledge of digital data standards (IPv4, IPv6, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, RS-232, RS-422, IRIG 106, and video file formats

  • Experience working with digital engineering tools and software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DevSecOps)

  • Experience writing, debugging and maintaining test software in C++, LabView or Visual Basic

Summary pay range Entry-Level: $73,950 - $100,050

Summary pay range Associate Level: $91,800 - $124,200
