Job Description

Are you a college student or just starting your career in IT Security? Join the Motorola Solutions Enterprise Information Security team for an internship offering practical experience in a global enterprise. Explore the exciting and fast pace career as an Incident Responder for an international company. Bring your curiosity and drive, and we will provide the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our security program.

  • Provide positive customer experience practices to cybersecurity

  • Performing cybersecurity incident response activities, including:

    • Threat hunting

    • Shadowing incident responders leading real-world incidents

    • Communicating with incident stakeholders

    • Use cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies

    • Digital Forensics

  • Learn from subject matter experts by engaging with all Enterprise Information Security teams

Basic Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university or recent graduate with coursework or background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, graduating on or after December 2026.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills and a willingness to apply them to documentation

  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for problem identification and solving

  • Familiarity with Windows, Mac, Linux, and virtual computing environments

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals

  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities

  • A strong appetite for continuous learning

  • Project and organizational competency

  • Proficiency in English

 

Desired

  • Coding and/or scripting - python or other languages

  • Knowledge of cloud environments - AWS, Azure, GCP

  • Familiarity with Incident Response Process, Mitre Att&ck, and Cyber Kill Chain

  • Basic understanding of Industry Standards in one or more of the following: ISO 27001/2, NIST 800-171, Cyber Essentials +, IRAP, NIS 2 (EU), German Security Concept, or similar

  • Technical knowledge and/or experience in information security, cybersecurity, systems administration, architecture, cloud, or other technical domain

  • Knowledge or experience working with Endpoint Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), or Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR)
