Extension Educators Coordinator 2, EFNEP-Hamilton County

This position is located at the OSU Extension Office in Hamilton County (Cincinnati, Ohio) with additional duties in other EFNEP counties as needed.

Use Ohio EFNEP curriculum to teach nutrition, physical activity, food safety, and how to save money on food. Teach low income youth and parents or caregivers of youth. Teach the EFNEP class series to groups of adults and youth in the community. EFNEP classes may be at locations like community centers, job training programs, schools, and summer food programs.

Maintain accurate and complete records and reports for all activities, as required by the sponsor agency and by OSU Extension.  Use standardized evaluation instruments to assess program participants’ knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors to determine educational needs and program impacts. Maintain confidentiality of participants and individual records.

Recruit adult and youth groups by doing outreach in the community. Recruit adults by reaching out to agencies and programs that target low-income families with children. Recruit youth by finding schools serving 50% or more free and reduced price meals and other programs that work with low-income youth.

Attend staff meetings and in-service training programs at the local, regional, and state level as required by supervising EFNEP Program Specialist and EFNEP Program Director. Implement changes as required by the sponsor agency and by OSU Extension.

Perform related work as required. This is a grant-funded position that is renewable by the sponsor agency and by OSU. The position is contingent upon obtaining a satisfactory criminal background check. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this profile is $15.86-$20.74/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
