Expert Lead Data Modelling Business Lending
At ING we have bold ambitions to improve the digital experience for our customers while empowering people’s financial health. At the same time, we want to make a positive contribution to the society and the world we live in. To deliver on these ambitious promises, we need to have a strong strategic and commercially focused organization around our products. We need to ensure our squads are working on product innovations that are valuable, viable and feasible. This is where the Expert Lead steps in.
The Expert Lead is a position where all elements of a product come together, the what and the how, with an end-to-end responsibility. You define how we manage the business value and how we deliver a differentiating customer experience. You enable your squads to deliver and run the product effectively. We therefore need someone who can contribute to a continuous, emerging, all-round product vision that is covering all elements for the product life cycle, with the goal to increase customer impact and deliver business value.
Your role
As an Expert Lead Data Modelling within Business Lending, you will lead a team of specialists responsible for connecting risk rating models to the business lending journeys across segments such as SME/SBF, Private Banking, Large Corporates, Project Finance, Commercial Property Finance, and Government Related Entities. You will oversee the redevelopment and implementation of credit risk models, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive data-driven decision-making across the Tribe. Acting as a key liaison between risk, business, IT, and regulatory stakeholders, you will represent the Tribe in strategic boards and external meetings with regulators.
You do this by steering a squad who works on the product by providing them with a strategic direction, by coaching them on the job, defining the product roadmap and by managing stakeholders around the product. The people who work in the squads report hierarchically to you, which means it is your job to empower them to thrive and perform at their best. You set direction, you help them to develop their craftsmanship and you have continuous conversations about their career development.
