A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for an Expert, Data Governance and Data Products reporting to the General Manager, Data Governance Operations

A bit about your role

This role, Expert, Data Governance and Data Products is responsible for driving the adoption of nbn’s data operating model by coordinating data domain teams, product owners and use‑case squads, ensuring effective delivery, governance and lifecycle management of data domains and data products. It oversees Data Domain Objective & Key Results (OKRs) implementation, supports delivery activities, manages risks, fosters cross‑functional collaboration, maintains playbooks and governance artefacts, and ensures data products and ontologies are governed. The role requires the ability to deliver on end-to end Data & AI capabilities from concept through to successful implementation of business objectives. The role also contributes to change management by supporting training, communication and knowledge‑sharing across the organisation.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate has strong project or program management skills and brings experience in consulting, delivery, team leadership and implementing a federated operating model. They have a understanding in data governance, data management, architecture or AI/ML, along with familiarity with performance metrics and OKRs. Highly self-driven and organised, they communicate clearly and effectively, and excel at coordinating cross‑functional teams across business and IT.
