VCA Blue Ridge Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

About Us

We are a busy 4-doctor canine and feline practice in Greer, SC with a tenured team including three licensed veterinary technicians. We offer primary care, dentistry, surgery, and more.

Our hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8am - 6pm, Thursday and Saturday 8am - 1pm, closed Sunday.

About the Role

As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medication preparation and administration
• Radiology and diagnostics
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry assistance
• Medical recordkeeping

Qualifications

• One or more years of Veterinary Assisting experience
• Able to proficiently perform Veterinary Assistant duties including those listed above

Schedule: 8a - 6p - M/T/W/F

Compensation: $16 - $18 / hour is based on skill set and experience
