Boeing is seeking an Experienced Systems Engineer to serve as a Requirements Focal and DA (Design Assurance) Integration Specialist with our team in Everett, Washington.

Position Overview:

This position will report to the 777-9 Systems Integration team and will be responsible for helping an assigned aircraft system to complete their DA and requirements tasking and maintain integration with airplane level efforts. This role provides full-time requirements development and design assurance support and coordinates across subsystems and program-level teams to ensure consistent execution, timely closure of actions, and readiness for program events. This position will play an exciting part in helping achieve 777-9 type certification.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the systems integration focal for an assigned aircraft system, responsible for requirements development, allocation, traceability, and design assurance (DA) activities.
  • Act as the DA Integration Specialist supporting an assigned aircraft system: act as the gatekeeper for all actionable DA activities, ensure task clarity, and coordinate with airplane system DAR focals to track status and completion.
  • Coordinate and manage the DAR calendar and workload for system-level DARs; prioritize and de-conflict airplane level DAR activities from system DAR work.
  • Prepare, review, and help produce verification artifacts and evidence required for DAR entrance criteria, and assist aircraft system teams in completing verification activities that pace program milestones.
  • Consolidate guidance, standard templates, and lessons learned for airplane system DAR focals to promote consistent application of DA processes across teams.
  • Attend relevant meetings, events, and process discussions to capture decisions, document agreements, and close knowledge gaps. Ensure communications related to process changes are issued and distributed.
  • Maintain situational awareness of changes across program processes (e.g., transitions across aircraft variants such as -9 to -8F) and drive alignment of IPT practice with evolving program requirements.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer across teams (e.g., enable system teams to observe other teams’ DARs), conduct internal dry-runs and rehearsals, and organize events that prepare the airplane system team for program-level reviews.
  • Support mentoring and training activities to improve team competency in DA processes, requirements development, verification strategies, and risk management.
  • Identify and track scope-creep risks, document agreements and decisions to preserve intent during personnel or schedule changes, and escalate unresolved issues to program leadership as needed.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of related systems engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in requirements development, allocation, traceability, and design assurance processes in a complex system or aerospace program.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience serving as a requirements focal, DA focal, or DAR coordinator on an aircraft or large-scale systems program.
  • Experience using requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS), and configuration management systems.
  • Experience organizing and conducting dry runs, rehearsals, or readiness reviews events for milestone engineering reviews
  • Familiarity with product assurance, certification/regulatory requirements, and systems integration.

$119,850 -  $162,150
