About Position / Position Summary

The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization is seeking a highly skilled Experienced Salesforce Developer to join our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize sophisticated Salesforce solutions supporting key business functions across Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), and Boeing Global Services (BGS).

You will be accountable for translating complex business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce applications. Working closely with enterprise architects, product managers, and cross-functional technology teams, you will deliver solutions aligned to platform standards, data governance policies, and enterprise architecture frameworks.

You will serve as an experienced Salesforce developer within the CRM development team, being part of solution design implementations, mentoring junior developers, enforcing development best practices, and ensuring consistent delivery across agile work-streams

This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related Salesforce platforms.
• Develop robust, performant, and reusable components using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Flows, and Salesforce platform automation.
• Integrate Salesforce with external enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Named Credentials, and event-driven architectures.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Product Management, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into end-to-end technical designs, including data models, interaction diagrams, and integration patterns.
• Implement high-quality code and conduct peer code reviews to ensure compliance with Boeing’s secure coding, development, and architectural standards.
• Support and refine Salesforce data models, including large data volume strategies, SMDW-aligned schemas, archival patterns, and metadata governance in regulated environments.
• Ensure adherence to DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using tools such as Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, Salesforce DX, and Git-based source control.
• Troubleshoot complex, cross-system issues spanning Salesforce, middle ware, downstream platforms, and data pipelines; drive root-cause analysis and long-term defect resolution.
• Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams, including administrators, developers, vendors, architects, and cybersecurity, to deliver secure and compliant solutions.
• Stay current on Salesforce releases, roadmap updates, Einstein AI capabilities, and best practices to recommend innovative enhancements and platform optimizations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across sprint operations, DevOps automation, solution quality, and system performance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience across Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds.
• 8+ years of experience in Apex, LWC, Aura, Flows, and Salesforce platform automation
• 8+ years of experience in Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Named Credentials) with large enterprise systems
• Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Copado, Gearset, Jenkins)
• Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, governor limits, LDV strategies, and schema design principles
• Experience with Einstein features (Prediction Builder, Bots, Recommendation models) or integrating external ML/AI models
• Experience working in agile delivery environments using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or similar tools
• Strong analytical skills with experience debugging complex cross-system interactions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect, Data Architecture, or Integration Architecture
• Experience delivering Salesforce solutions in large, matrix-ed, regulated enterprises such as aerospace, manufacturing, or defense
• Experience in multi-org strategies, metadata governance, secured environments, and global roll-outs
• Experience mentoring developers, leading vendor teams, and influencing technical decisions across business and IT stakeholders
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security, including Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing, OWD models, and regulated data requirements

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8 Plus years' related work experience or master’s degree with 7+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience
