Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Service is seeking an Experienced Project Management Specialist to join the C-17 Flight Deck Replacement (FDR) Program in Long Beach, CA.

This pivotal role will report to the Senior Program Management leader and provide support to the FDR Sr. project manager as program integrator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing project performance and driving successful outcomes for the program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as program integrator to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives, supports all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners. 
  • Being the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for FDR Program Office
  • Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to monitor program performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee cost account management, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of project costs and budgets.
  • Manage the tracking of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and timely submission of deliverables.
  • Supporting Cost Account Managers (CAMs) and team members.
  • Coordinate the preparation of artifacts, presentations, and content for leadership and customers.
  • Manage the regular operating rhythm and maintain program cadence to ensure effective project coordination and integration.
  • Employ various communication methodologies and tools (such as Web portal, SharePoint, OneNote, etc.) to facilitate information sharing and collaboration among team members.
  • Employ project management best practices, tools, and processes to enhance project execution and delivery.
  • Generate, develop, and analyze performance metrics to assess project health and inform decision-making.
  • Apply Lean concepts to identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives across project processes.
  • Conduct risk management activities using RIO (Risk Identification and Opportunity) and BORIS (Baseline, Opportunity, Risk, Issue, and Schedule) tools to proactively identify and integrate program & function risks.
  • Utilize scheduling tools to develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and functional partners
  • Boeing EVM Certification (previous Silver/Gold/Platinum Medallions) or equivalent
  • Experience with the DFARS EVM Requirements
  • Experience with Boeing IP&S Scheduling software applications & reports (OPP/Milestones/MS Project).
  • Experience managing program operating tools (OneNote, SharePoint, File shares, Outlook, MS Teams, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Able to work independently without high levels of supervision
  • Program Management Best Practices or PMI certification (Project Management Professional -PMP) or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Experience using the BORIS tool
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining websites, web portals, and SharePoint sites to enhance integration and communication
  • Skilled in using MS Teams Planner or JIRA for efficient project tracking and collaboration
  • Additional certifications in AI, Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies are a plus

Summary pay range: $101,150 - $136,850
