Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity on its BDS Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers Strategy team for a Senior / Principal Strategy Development Analyst. As an analyst on the team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Aerospace and Defense industry and to support business and investment strategies for one of the most successful defense and security companies in the world. This position is in Tukwila, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain analytical products on the markets of the division including customer budgets and forecasts, product development status, competitor capabilities, and industry investments
  • Stay up to date on relevant investment, technology, threat, and customer trends
  • Collaborate with program teams to develop differentiated insights into our markets to support division and program level strategy development
  • Manage in-year New Business Funding (NBF) for the division; manage future year NBF planning
  • Work across teams to generate key strategic analyses
  • Lead business case development through partnering with other functions
  • Participate in high-level meetings regarding complex strategy subjects, building alignment and driving decision-making

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, summarizing findings, developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
  • 5+ years of experience creating executive level presentations using Word, Power Point and Excel
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy (e.g. market or competitive research and analysis, strategy development, facilitating strategic decisions) or corporate development role or related experience
  • Experience with cross-functional projects
  • Experience in a position that requires conceptual and creative skills to find novel solutions to complex problems
  • Experience presenting work products to executives, senior leadership, or external customers
  • Experience building positive relationships, collaborating effectively, and communicating clearly

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
  • Experience in developing and analyzing complex business case and cost models
  • Knowledge or experience with Department of Defense (DoD) or military customers
  • Experience with systems engineering, operations analysis, and/or threat analysis
  • MBA and/or Master’s degree

Summary pay range:

Level 4:$134,300 - $181,700

Level 5: $170,000 - $230,000
