The Costa Rica Validation Lab Engineering (CRVLE) organization operates within Manufacturing, Product, and Quality Engineering (MPQ), enabling lab capacity and execution excellence across multiple engineering teams. We are seeking an experienced Tactical Planner with proven success in manufacturing, product engineering, or validation lab environments. The Tactical Planner will be responsible for driving lab execution planning, cross-functional coordination and operational alignment across the MPQ network.

This role requires strong analytical capability, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed global environment.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage lab execution schedules using multiple planning systems and tools.        

  • Partner with Manufacturing Product, and Quality Engineering (MPQ) operation team, and business units to align priorities and execution strategies.

  • Drive daily priority pass-down and execution alignment with operations.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

  • Lead material planning activities including: Sample creation and job setup Material distribution and transfers Inventory optimization and usage control.

  • Proactively identify schedule constraints, capacity gaps, and risk mitigation actions.

  • Facilitate effective cross-functional meetings and ensure clear decision-making.

  • Influence stakeholders across sites and organizational levels to deliver win-win, best-for-business outcomes.

  • Apply LEAN principles, Operational Excellence methodologies, and structured problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Bachelor's or Licentiate degree in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering field.

  • Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written) with experience interacting with global stakeholders.

  • Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in:

    • Tactical planning

    • Manufacturing or production planning

    • Product engineering support

    • Validation lab operations

    • Work order management or supply planning environments

    • Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced operational settings.

  • Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments.

  • Advanced MS Office skills, including:

    • Macros and automation.

    • Advanced Excel functions and algorithms.

    • Pivot and dynamic tables.

    • Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools.

    • Experience with planning systems, Tactical/MRP environments, or manufacturing execution systems.

    • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable operational improvements.
