The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity in the BGS-Government Supply Chain Strategy/Category Management team for an Experienced Category Management Specialist. This team is responsible for supply chain category strategy across all BGS-G businesses. The location for this role will be in Dallas, TX or Plano, TX.
Integral to the profitable execution of the BGS-G business, Supply Chain Category Management is responsible for developing and implementing category plans to improve supply chain delivery and execution. Specifically, this role is responsible for:
Position Responsibilities:
Raw Materials, Outside Processing, or Machined Parts/Hardware Category Management
Leading supply chain strategy, including suppliers to grow, maintain, develop, and exit
Developing and managing strategic supplier relationships
Informing sourcing activities, including strategic sourcing, alternate / dual sourcing, part qualification, customer qualification / approval, long-term contracting
Negotiating agreements, including letters of intent (LOIs), memorandums of understanding (MOUs), pricing, distribution rights / agreements, capacity agreements, exclusivity rights, most favored nation terms, etc.
Issuing and assessing requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), requests for quotes (RFQ), and/or other solicitations
Developing new sources / manufacturers, including conducting capability assessments, capacity assessments, customer and part qualification / approval
Collaborating with BCA and BDS Category Management
Apply best practices and structure to manage and drive projects to fruition; able to prioritize multiple critical projects.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
8+ years of related work experience
6+ years of Supply Chain experience
2+ years of experience with risk identification and mitigation plans
Experience working cross functionally and building positive relationships
Experience in problem solving and strategic decision making
Ability to travel to support business and team requirements (approximately 10-20% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or Master of Science in Supply Chain highly desired
Supply Chain Category Management, Supplier Contracting or Procurement experience
Strategy or Consulting experience

Summary pay range: $108,000.00 – $160,650.00
