Expense Controller

What you will do:

Perform operating expenses reporting (Actuals, Budget and Forecast) and assist Expense Controlling Team Head in expense management. This role is performed in accordance with the Group’s Policies and Procedures and local & international accounting standards, in order to provide accurate and timely reporting.

Your day-to-day:

  • Monthly monitoring and reporting of expenses to local management and Group.

  • Assist in controlling the level of operating expenses (OPEX) and capital expenditures (CAPEX) versus Budget and Forecast.

  • Assist in expense management and approval process.

  • Ensure expenses are accurately recorded and allocated to the correct accounts and cost centers

  • Assist with OPEX related journal entries and accruals.

  • Participate in the annual Budget process and its quarterly revisions.

  • Support and participate in the execution of finance transformation projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in Accounting / Finance / Audit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Finance / Accounting

  • Sound understanding of accounting principles

  • Prior insurance industry knowledge would be considered an asset

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables), MS Word, Outlook)

  • Prior experience with Power BI would be considered an asset

  • Excellent oral and written knowledge of Greek and English language

  • Oracle Hyperion suite hands-on experience (Essbase and SmartView) would be considered an asset
