The Opportunity:

Enable the client to execute tasks associated with the defense of Japan. Design, plan, and coordinate bilateral Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAI) between the client and Japan counterparts. Advise and provide analysis in support of the client. Support the implementation of alliance management requirements and support the client with conducting training and operations in Japan. This position is located in Okinawa, Japan.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience working directly in support of the U.S.-Japan Mutual Security Treaty
  • 4+ years of experience with military operations in planning, preparation and coordination with adjacent components and HHQ Commands
  • Experience with the INDOPACOM Area of Operations operational planning
  • Knowledge of aviation operations
  • Knowledge of military organization and culture of joint U.S. Forces and partner allies in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Area of Operations
  • Knowledge of the U.S.-Japan Alliance, the U.S-Japan Status of Forces Agreement, various military programs derived from the U.S.-Japan Joint Committee, Japanese culture and the Japan Self-Defense Force (JSDF), and how U.S. Forces interact and integrate with the JSDF
  • Ability to advise leadership on cultural matters to achieve military objectives
  • Ability to utilize the Japanese Language at the professional competency level
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Knowledge of military terms for all branches of service and military organization and culture of the U.S. military, Japanese Self-Defense Force, and Joint Forces in the Indo-Pacific region, in English and Japanese language
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master’s degree in National Security Affairs
  • Federal Aviation Administration Rated Pilot Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
