[What the role is]
You will work as an engineer in the Demolition Team to ensure the safe and smooth demolition of incineration plants.[What you will be working on]
You will be responsible for the following:
Lead and manage a group of technical officers on the safe and efficient conduct of the demolition work including for an on-going demolition project;
Coordinate and oversee the decommissioning of incineration plants,
Prepare tenders for demolition consultancy and contractor;
Coordinate and interface with various government agencies on the land return.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
You may also be or tasked to take on initiatives and projects related to Waste-to-Energy facilities, including process improvement and safety enhancements projects, managing demolition of older incineration plants; and may also be deployed to a new NEA operated Waste-to-Energy facility to be commissioned in the future.
[What we are looking for]
At least Bachelor Degree in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent field
At least 1-2 years of working experience in process/power plant engineering is preferred
Working experience with construction or demolition work will be an advantage
Preferably with knowledge on procurement of services and project management
Outgoing and pleasant personality; mature, independent and resourceful; highly self-motivated; patient and resilient; adaptable to diverse work scopes
Integrity and good interpersonal and presentation skills
Analytical with good writing, communication and problem solving skills
Good organisational and Leadership skills
Ability to lead, interact and foster team work
Ability to manage and administer contracts
Proficient in Microsoft Office
