Executive Sales Specialist Arrays - META+ (Middle East, Turkey & Africa) – Genotyping 

Saudia Arabia (Remote)  

Travel – up to 50 - 60%  

As the META+ Array Sales Specialist – Genotyping here at Illumina, you will be the regional subject matter expert for our Infinium array portfolio across human, non-human and custom genotyping applications.

In this strategic commercial role, you will partner with account managers, product management, marketing, medical & government affairs, and market access teams to grow array revenue, enable major account success, and strengthen Illumina’s market position. You will support strategic deals, guide customers to the best array and sequencing solutions, and ensure commercial teams across the subregion are well trained on workflows, software, and value propositions.

Why You 

You bring deep scientific expertise - ideally with a PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or related fields (or a Master’s with substantial experience). You have hands‑on experience with DNA microarrays or genomic technologies, and you thrive in customer‑facing, fast‑moving commercial environments. You’re a strategic thinker with strong communication skills, able to translate customer needs into impactful solutions, and to influence decisions across multiple levels. You enjoy building long-term relationships, delivering compelling presentations, and collaborating across matrixed commercial teams. Experience in Genotyping, product commercialization, and proven experience in sales or customer‑facing roles will set you up for success.  

 

Key Responsibilities Include 

Customer & Market Leadership 

  • Manage full cycle customer engagement across the human array market, including relationship building, opportunity qualification, and proposal development. 

  • Maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key customers, thought leaders, and decision makers. 

  • Translate customer needs into tailored solutions spanning arrays and sequencing. 

Opportunity & Business Growth 

  • Develop strategies to win new business, expand market share, and build a high‑quality pipeline. 

  • Identify and shape major opportunities (> $1M), leading pursuit strategies and win plans. 

  • Provide thought leadership by introducing innovative approaches to solve customer challenges. 

Commercial Enablement & Training 

  • Support large accounts and complex deals across the subregion. 

  • Train local account managers and commercial teams on array products, workflows, and software. 

  • Equip teams with sales tools, competitive insights, and marketing collateral. 

Cross‑Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner closely with product management, marketing, and array leadership to execute customer-centric plans. 

  • Share market insights with global teams to influence product strategy and future developments. 

  • Collaborate in Illumina’s team-selling model with account managers, specialists, inside sales, and distributors.
